I would say rent a cabin for the weekend or even maybe just a night and spend some time alone and have a nice dinner,wine and roses. If you book it right it wont cost alot of money if you use a state park and if you know how to shop for flowers and wine you can still get a great deal fix the dinner yourself and fix something you know she likes if you need help get a cook book or ask a question about a book or recipe once again you can come out cheaper for a whole weekends worth of meals than buying some large dinner at a resturant. I am not recomending you being cheap but make the most of your money and having made it yourself will show how much you love her and care for her.

Well then, just take her out someplace, like perhaps a nice cozy little restuarant, where the lights are slightly dimmed to give a romantic kind of feeling, you know. Since it is freezing out side, I think it would turn out to be a romantic night, something like a valentines/birthday kind of day. Oh and pick her up a card and some red and white roses.

LOL every girl wants something. She may just be hinting at you not to go overboard and buy something outrageous.
I say a tennis braclet for her birthday ( not to expensive and not cheap) and a bouquet of roses for valentines day. You can probably find them for under $20.

spend the day with her talk to her go to the park together or take her out for the day or for a nice dinner or just make it like an ordinary day but with more special time in it!!
