The fruit is commonly known as sapodilla. It actually originated in the Yucatan, Southern Mexico and parts of South America and brought to the Philippines by early Spanish colonist. Today, It is commercially grown in India as the largest grower, Mexico, South America, the Philippines and in Florida.
I've found some nurseries in Florida that sell the tree but you may want to contact them to see where you can buy the fruit. See the list below:
