We haven't been getting along for a long time now, even though I try being nice, he's just an immature jerk! Well, I am still worried about messing up with in front of him, especially in math because when the teacher calls on me for a math problem I have a really bad answer and my ex will laugh at me and say I'm really stupid. He sits right behind me, and everyday, I am worried about making myself look like an idiot! I am good in math, but I just freak out when I know he's around! I get really klumsy around him too, like this one time, I tripped over his backpack and fell on top of him!!! How do I calm my nerves and ignore him?

If you have assigned seats, ask the teach to move you far away from him. If you can sit where you want, well DUH sit somewhere else. If he comes up and sits behind you after you sit, then show up to class a bit late, explain to the teacher what is going on and I'm sure he/she can help you avoid this jerk. Don't answer the question unless you are certain you know the correct answer. I'd also get in his face if he says you are stupid in class for sure, tell him to shut his candy-assed pie hole, etc.

Ask the teacher if you can move your seat so he's not sitting behind you whispering stuff.
