you take that orange cap off and you'll probably be shot by a cop or something, just pull really hard, use a vice or something cause that will get it done

Well, in most cases the tip can be spray painted black with no problems. Like everyone else said though, yes, this is illegal and if caught you'll get a fine (or shot accidentally), blah blah blah. Personally, I wouldn't do it for the above reasons, but if you still want to go through with it the black spray paint is a good option, becuase you don't have to worry about destroying the barrel in the process.

It was put there so that it wouldn't be mistaken for a real gun. Take it off and you're guilty of using a weapon, not a toy.
You take a chance that the police will shoot you and be justified in doing so. They have enough problems telling the good guys from the bad without you adding to their problems.

Well it is illegal to do so, but hypothetically if you wanted to remove the orange tip, the best way is to hypothetically color it with a sharpie that matches the paint on the gun. Hypothetically, of course.

jeez i had no idea it was such a serious crime, i have an airsoft pistol that i dropped, and the tip fell off(it was just glued on there). I guess i better keep it hidden. the police in my town prolly wouldn't know the law about this anyways.
If you still want to take it off, just use a pair of pliers, and twist it off. mine came off pretty easy when i dropped it, so you shouldn't have a problem.

Just cut it off.
Then, when a cop see's you with that TOY, WITHOUT
that orange tip on, he'll think that it's a real gun and if
you get stupid, you'll get shot. Simple.

It's there to keep cops from shooting you accidentally.
If you take it out of your house AT ALL, you want it on there.
If you just want to keep it inside or display it inside, I have four words for you....
Flat Black Spray Paint.
