Judging by the answers of some of our Protestant brothers and sisters, they certainly do not KNOW what our faith teaches.

You have got that right. It seems that a good number of people think that Catholics aren't even Christians if you can imagine such a thing.

I agree. Sadly, they do not want to know the truth because they would then have to admit that what they have been taught by their religious leaders is incorrect.

Just pray for them and forgive them.

K - I will take your advice and not listen to you.

I don't think a lot of them know about the Catholic religion, but then a lot of "Christians" or "Catholics" don't know a lot about their own religions, but usually that is just because they aren't Catholic or Christian, their parents were.

ithink it is a common misconception. one poster said - i don't need a pope. while that is true for some -- in the vatious prot denominations they have a clergy in heirachy just the same - with different titles/names. call it what they may, there are things that come with being the oldest organized Christian denomination....

stick to the bible.... that's funny, apparently people don't even realize that it was the Catholics that (for lack of a better term) "published" the bible.

i'm just thankful for those that will ask, accept our asnwers and understand, even if they don't accept, and correct their misconceptions.

Highly likely. They are too busy demonizing it.

Me, I dismiss it the same way I dismiss the Protestants...on the basis of their claims versus their practices and the lack of evidence for their beliefs.

Honestly, I think most Catholics don't understand the bible. That would seem to be a bigger problem.
