In linguistics and ethnology, Semitic (from the Biblical "Shem", Hebrew: שם, translated as "name", Arabic: سام) was first used to refer to a language family of largely Middle Eastern origin, now called the Semitic languages. This family includes the ancient and modern forms of Amharic, Arabic, Aramaic, Akkadian, Ge'ez, Hebrew, Maltese and Tigrinya among others.

There are aboutr 17 ethnic groups which are Semitic. The Jews are just one of them. Various kinds of Arabs are Semitic. The only major ethnic group in the Middle East which is not Semitic is the Kurds.

You use the word "Judaism" but I think you mean to refer to the ethnic group known as Jews. Judaism is a religion, not an ethnicity.

Dictionary:
1.a subfamily of Afroasiatic languages that includes Akkadian, Arabic, Aramaic, Ethiopic, Hebrew, and Phoenician.
–adjective
2.of or pertaining to the Semites or their languages, esp. of or pertaining to the Jews.

It is related to Judaism because the Hebrews/Jews are considered a semitic people. However, the word antisemitic has come to mean against only Jews--for that reason I am lost.

Semitic means descendants of Noah's son Shem. I think all Caucasians are thought to be descendants of Shem, but generally "Semitic" refers to ethnically Jewish people, and Arabs, and possibly Persians.

the word comes from Shem

literally, a semite is one who speaks a semetic language (including Arabian, Hebrew, Ethiopian and a bunch more)

But in everyday speech, it's usually used for Jewish, so anti-semitic is usually translated as anti-Jew

It means "of Shem," who was one of Noah's son's. It's a cultural group that includes Jews and, yes, Arabs.

Racial classification term.

Some claim arabs are semites too which makes it ironic since largest "anti-semitic" group these days is probably in that community due to the conflict in Israel.
