Using Lamasil to treat a toenail fungus is like using a hydrogen bomb to kill a bug. It's overkill and potentially dangerous.
IF it's a fungus you can treat it with plain distilled vinegar. Just douse some on your toenail every day. It won't smell once it's dried.
It take about a year for a new toenail to grow out so it's going to require time and patience. You don't have to use the vinegar that long. Just 6 months maybe. But it'll be longer than that before you see a nice toenail again.

Its nail fungus and you will want to ask your doctor about treatments available. Usually the most effective treatment is an oral prescription, but there are nail polishes and creams that can work in mild cases.

Try soaking regularly in vinager and water. I would steer clear of salons for pedicures, because the fungus can actually be spread. Salons sanitize things, but there's still a chance the fungus can survive.

You have fungus under it, as do I. Try Lamasil. I think you need a prescription for it.
