For each speeding ticket you get a point on your record right? How long does it take for each point to come off?

The points are depending on what speed you were going. You can check with your local DMV to see what the point value is for the speed in question. They can also tell you how many points come off for each year that passes. You might even be able to find that information on their internet site.

3 years or after you send in the certificate from a traffic school.
BTW...Traffic School ONLY every 18 months is a bunch of BS...Here's the secret...
Call the court and ask how much the fee is to be allowed to take traffic school, then write a letter asking to take traffic school for a ticket that is on your record AND enclose a check. There isn't ANY county that will turn down money-in-hand. If they cash your check, you have permission.
That's the key, you ONLY need permission from the courts to take traffic school. They don't want you to know this 'cause then EVERYONE wouldn't care so much about getting tickets.
Good luck.
