If somebody hit you in the backbone, and you bruised it, can it stunt or affect your growth?

Hi, I am a 13 year old kid. Yesterday, one of my friends hit me in the upper backbone, he did not hit me very hard and I did not feel it painful. The next day, I touched the part of my backbone where he hit me and it hurt a little. I only feel the pain when I touch it like if it was a bruise. Today, another of my friend hit me a bit harder than my friend from yesterday in the lower and middle backbone but this time I did not feel any pain, it felt normal when I left it and when I touch my backbone. The problem is that yesterday's hit probably affect my more although he hit me pretty soft.

Did I stunt my growth? Will I stop growing? Will I have backbone problems in the future? What if the pain persists more than one week? Help!?!?!?!?!?

A spinal injury could possibly stunt your growth, but it would have to be quite severe to do so and it's extremely rare. If you were hit in the back and it's bruised, expect some discomfort for up to two weeks. It is possible to 'bruise' your bone and this takes much longer than bruised tissue (which you probably have around the vertebrae) to heal.

You are fine! Tell your friends to stop hitting you in your back!

not thinking it will stunt your growth, but.......
where ever you were hit, the vertebrae in that area may become damaged or mis aligned, causing distress to the nerves and the parts of the body connected to those nerves..
see a good chiropractor..one who does x rays and electro analyisation of the impulse carried from one side of the vertebrae to the other..
loose the idiot that did this..they are not only stupid, but dangerous..
good luck
