I am in 8th grade and i like this 7th grader. the thing is that he will talk to me but he wont go out with me. My bestfriends bf told me that the guy i like wont go out with me because he thinks i'm ugly, but i dont know if i believe him. i know he is being shallow and i know i should move on a forget him but i like him too much. I need to get him to try to get to know me, but how? what should i do?

Ask him would he like to go to the movies sometime. If he's interested he will go -- you may even just make a great friend. There is only two things he can say -- yes or no. And remember the song -- there's more fish in the sea.

He's dumb for saying you're ugly because I bet by the time you're in high school you will be super hott and he will regret ever saying that! Just wait it out, you have your whole high school life to deal with boys, and trust me, they will be all over you. There are plenty to choose from.

i know some people at my school who like seventh graders , plus 7th grade boys aren't ready for a relationship, they're too immature, well some of them are.

Sounds like your best friends are jealous. Ask him out but be prepared for a let down anyway...just in case. Just because you like someone doesn't mean they always like you.
