I am interested in a guy from my school. He is White. I am Black. I am nervous about how people will view us. What should I be concerned about? My family is open to it (grandmother is biracial and many aunts and uncles married outside of race).

I wouldn't worry so much about what "others" think. If you're happy, and he's happy, then there shouldn't be anything standing in your way to pursue this relationship. We live our lives for ourselves, .. not for everyone else. Society has been putting up with and placing a stigma on bi-racial relationships .. as long as mankind has existed. Tell anyone who has an objection to go stuff it in their pie-hole. :-)

If you go to a school thats not very accepting of that, then be prepared for some unnecessary remarks from other people. I am also in a similar situation so I know where you're coming from. I dont see the problem with interracial dating but everyone's different. Good luck girl!

I Don't See A Problem With It, That's Happened of One My Friends He Was White & She Was Black and Their Was No Problem So My Advice Is If You Care About Him, Be With Him.

life is hard for anyone, so forget the hype, and follow your heart. I am a stranger to you, so you shouldnt care if I frown upon it. I dont, but society are strangers who like to bully people into control.
take that guy, and make a life of it. because if you dont, you will regret not trying. live the life you dream of, and not the public dream.

It doesn't matter what everyone else thinks, it is what you think. If you truly like him then you two will be able to overcome obstacles that get in your way. Follow your heart and don't worry about others.
