Some in NASCAR would rather ram their cars against JP Montoya...then have a Colombian win a race. I hope Montoya wins it all and changes NASCAR forever.
Diversity is coming NASCAR!
That is AMERICA.
Can't wait to see some COLUMBIAN flags amongst those DIXIE flags.

VAMOS JUAN, VIVA COLUMBIA, VIVA LOS LATINOS EN NASCAR.

"Some in NASCAR would rather ram their cars against JP Montoya...then have a Colombian win a race. "

Do you have any proof of this assertion? If not, then you are no better than the people you 'claim' are against Montoya simply because of his nationality. (of which you have provided no proof)

The next time you go on a racial diatribe, I suggest you take a moment to look at yourself first. You're the very reason your own cause isn't taken seriously. you think you're making some great statement, when the reality of it is, everyone looks at what you wrote and says "Geez, who's the one bringing up race here?"

That being said, I won 't even address your inane question (what will NASCAR do....), but I will say Montoya is a very talented driver. How his IRL skills translate to NASCAR success is something I think everyone will be watching. It's been tried before.

You know what it really comes down is most fans of racing aren't as intolerant of diversity as they just hate change in a system they've grown accustomed to. NASCAR fans have had great comfort in their 3 different makes of cars and a predominantly male Caucasian driver pool. Every sport has gone through this in the past and look where they are now. NASCAR wants to reach out to a larger target audience and continue to it's growth in popularity and revenue. They will not do anything to jeopardize his chance to win a race. Some individual drivers may but it would not come from corporate headquarters. NASCAR is doing everything it can to ENcourage diversity.

I don't see NASCAR doing anything to prevent Montoya from making it in this sport. I think it is a good thing that someone from another contry has decided to take a chance in NASCAR. From what I have heard through different interviews, NASCAR wants to broaden their horizons. Bringing in more people from other countries will only help with this. I, as an AMERICAN, embrace diversity and am looking forward to watching Montoya this season.

NASCAR or the Drivers don't have to do nothing . Juan sucks on his own. He'll be back in open wheel by next year.

He has just as good of a chance as an American Soccer player does at dominating in your soccer leagues.

And no I have no problem with foreign drivers racing in the states. I just don't think Juan has what it takes to be a Great NASCAR driver.

I highly dout that Nascar will do anything to prevent him from winning at this point Nascar is doing what ever they can do to protect him at this point. I feel that Montoya will have a good year he is a very talented driver and when he started driving he started in stock cars when he was in Colombia

Youve got it all wrong bud. NASCAR wants diversity, its the FANS who dont like it. How do you think Bill Lester got into the cup race, they fixed it, because he was slower then slow. I know quite a few crew chiefs and members and drivers who questioned what happened with timing and scoring.NASCAR will do everything in its power to MAKE SURE he wins. I personally love Juan, and I hope he does good. Ive watched him for quite some time now, and hes an AMAZING driver

If you're refering to Ryan Newman's "warm welcome" of Mr. Montoya at Homestead Motorspeedway; let me assure you that was not NASCAR trying to stop JPM from winning; that's just Ryan Newman being Ryan Newman.

98% of NASCAR fans don't want to see any harm come to JPM and don't mind seeing him win at all. I know 2% of the fans can say the most ignorant, hateful, and down right racist things; but they are only 2% of the Fan base.

I personally welcome the day other flags wave besides that racist "stars and bars". NASCAR is changing and those Dixie boys better move over and make some room.

I mean of the Drivers in the Chase we had JJ from California, MK from Wisconsin, KH from California, KK from Washington, JG (my Boy) born in Cali raised in Indiana. Leaving Jr., MM, and I forget the rest from the South.

No Driver from the South has won the cup since Bobby Labonte did. NASCAR is changing. Brother, one of these days I like to wave my American flag right next to your Columbian one.

I am just waiting to see if Schummie will make a cameo at either Infinion or Watkins Glen just to rattle JPM's cage for old times sake. I do miss Schummie.

Hey guy. The guys that are racing in Nascar now are there because their families spent every penny they had, and lived flat broke to get them there, most of them anyway. When other races are willing to make sacrafices for their children, then you will see more diversity in Nascar and open wheels. Lets face it other sports are cheap to play. You don't have to spend your life savings to play basketball, or football. Racing takes sacrafices and if a certain race, or any race can't or won't make that sacrafice then stop whining about it.

NASCAR doesn't have to do anything! That indy ****** will prevent himself from winning anything! All because NASCAR is mainly white doesn't mean it has to change! Nobody complains about basketball needing to be diversed. That's why you hear so many basketball players fighting fans and getting shot. When do you hear a NASCAR driver do something like that? Let us have our sport.

If anyone stops Juan Pablo Montoya from winning, it will be himself. If he progresses the way he seems to have last season, he should be winning races either by the end of this year or next year.
