I did my friend's taxes with Turbo Tax and I chose E-file for them, and direct deposit.?

I put my account number for the direct deposit because they don't have a bank account anywhere. Should this be a problem?

Yeah, the bank will reject the deposit because their name is not on your account. Once the deposit bounces from the bank, it will take the IRS about 6 - 8 weeks to get them a paper check.
