Im only 17 and i never had a 6 month long relationship before. So when i lost the spark and connection me and my girlfriend had, i broke it off. Now her world is shattered. We are still good friends, but she doesnt get that i want to be single now. We were extremely close and are still good friends, but i need some space. All she wants to do is talk about how miserable she is without me and how i have hurt her. I feel awful about it all, but i need my space. What can i do?

Tell her exactly how you feel. Beyond that it's up to her to deal with her feelings. It's tough, but we've all been there.

its time to break it off with her for a while if you really want to be single. Dont talk, look at each, speak, nothing. By talking to her your giving her signs there might still be something, when you insist theres not. So, by taking this break and not doing anything with her at all, it'll give you the chance for space and her the chance to get over you. Because by being "good" freinds with her, your hurting her more. Shes needs her chance to heal too.

sounds like you did the right thing. sometimes we girls tend to hold on even though we know deep down its over. Be a friend to her. You dont have to stop talking to her, but if she constantly talks about you guys as relationship. Just tell her youre into someone else. or better yet fix her up with someone. thats showing you still care for her as human just not as partner. or just ignore.time heals all wounds. if youre done with something- leave it. shouldnt take up this much energy after relationship over.

properly usually, convinced there is an unwritten rule yet because of ways issues ended up between both of you (how he unexpectedly broke it off and the way it really is been 8 months), your overwhelm ought to guage being with you if it would not weird and wonderful him out. also, were you and your ex tremendous severe? because if so there's a better possiblity that your overwhelm gained't decide on to wander into that style of territory.

tell her and let her know how you feel, the reason shes talking to you about the way she feels sounds like the way i would talk to a best pal if i just got dumped, but in this case it sounds like youre that best friend. but i would just be completly honest and add the tag on "i need to be done wtih this relationship and when im around you its physically impossible" lol
