IT IS AN HONOR!!! Dogs are SOO aweomse... :))

As long as the dog's breed matches the traits for which the person is known for. I wouldn't name a poodle after a big brute of a man, or name a Doberman after a little old lady. LOL

As long as it's looked at as a mimic rather than a joke, it's awesome. Blessings

honor to the person or dog. Just kidding. I think it depends on the dog-not the person. If someone named their dog "nickname" and it's a bu-- ugly dog, with a snarly pesonality-I'd say I'd be bummed! but if it's a cool lab or retriever, even border collie- I'd be honored!

depends what kind of dog and if they like dogs.

if they are a dog lover, it would probably be an honor.
but if you arent a dog person like me, it wouldnt be AS honorable.

if you get a vicious pitbull, it might be taken as an insult.
but if you get a cute, friendly dog then it would be an honor.

it depends on the circumstances.
but i would probably say an honor if you think its the appropriate person =]

It all depends on the person in question. Some will feel honored, while others will feel insulted.

i would say that it would depend on how the person you named the dog after viewed it...and also if you meant for it to be an honor or an insult.

i wouldnt have a problem with it

If you did it with good intentions then it a honour. If they are dog lovers they shouldn't have a problem with it. If they are cat lovers then who cares if they don't like it, dogs are better than cats any day.
