i am a HS freshman, india. and i asked this other indian freshman to turnabout. i didn't ask him just cuz hes indian, but cuz we're kinda friends. but he didn't say yes or no (i didn't ask in person, i friend helped me out) and now its really akward. my mom gave me this lecture about how it shouldn't be akward if i ask a friend, and now it is. none of my other friends have had probnlems like this if they asked a friend. now i wish i could take it back, and TB is thia wekkend and we don't have a group and im not going JUST the two of us, its more of a friendly thing. so idk what to do know, most of hte groups already have too many people and my friends have been really nice about helping me ask and supporting me, and id like this guy, as more than a friend, but he's being really akward and im REALLY regretting the desicion, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

one more thing, i wasn't sure if i should have even asked him but now i feel like i did it because everyone was asking someone, and that pressure and i tried not to think to much because i never really just go for it and i decided that i should act on impulse because i knew if i though about it i would chicken out
y r brown guys so DAMN akward?

Talk to him yourself.

Just tell him that it's awkward. My turnabout is today. If you don't want to tell him that you think that it's awkward between you guys, then after turnabout, tell him that you would rather just stay friends instead of taking it further. You'll feel a lot better. Trust me. Good luck and have fun at turnabout!

Tell him exactly what you just wrote, but correct the spelling, this isnt a text message. Tell him that you dont want this to be a big thing, tell him you respect him. He needs to know that you are concerned for his feelings and also that you dont want this to be awkward. Invite a couple of other guys if you want, and let yourself appear as a queen with her entourage of studs.

Well...if he's acting awkward, it could be that he actually likes you but isn't sure how to act now, not knowing how you really feel. Can be very confusing...my advice, confront him. He's your friend. You don't want to lose him as a friend and you don't want to leave things hanging. Talk to him. If he's not interested in the dating way, then at least you still have him as a friend.

The guy is probably more scared than you are. His appearance of acting "awkward" may just be fear. Next time, ask in person. Just go and have a great time, and stop worrying. Just be yourself.
