As a mother who has successfully raised a son and a daughter I can say boys are generally easier, I say generally because i realize that personality plays a big part and this may not be the case in every family. In fact from the age of about 5-14 my daughter was easier. Boys tend to be wild and rambunctious. (I had 3 brothers and 4 sisters. This was the case in our family too) It is easy to punish them as they pretty much know it was wrong say to put a firecracker under the neighbors car or break into someones yard to retrieve a ball. Girls on the other hand are more likely to be more conniving and will try to convince you that that they do not deserve to be disciplined. And when all else fails they will then turn on the tears. Of course it doesn't work with mom since she remembers these from her own girlhood. Still it is emotionally draining.

Raising a child is hard on all areas. It is like your heart having legs. If they get hurt...you hurt. When they are happy...you are happy. It is a joy and a lot of pain. I am glad I have a boy, because I would never want to have to deal with what parents have to deal with by having a girl. However, you will probably find many people who will say the same thing about having a girl. In the long run, the child you have is going to be a joy and a challenge no matter what.

girls are typically more emotional, although boys are more rough (usually). It is hard. I have heard boys are easier to raise from some people, but others say the girls were a lot easier than the boys. sDont fight over it. You will get what you are supposed to have and love it just as much. I know you wanted everyone to pick one, but I dont want to cause more termoil with you and her.

I agree. Its definately a boy. As I have one already and another on the way I may be a little bias. But my neice is so whiny, and spoiled, and snotty. With boys you don't have to worry about them getting pregnant, mood swings with menstual cycle, etc etc. Sure they are crazier in the beginning, with all their energy. But I prefer that to the drama a girl would bring during the teen years.

I would say a boy, a girl is much more fragile and requires much more protection even when she is an adult people try to kidnap/rape em. a boy is tougher (not that anything cant happen to a boy but you have to be WAY more worried about things happening to a girl imo).

there is no easy answer, below five a boy is easier, 6-teen years a girl is easier. teen can go either way., but you expect problems with boys, girls will surprise you. and not in a good way.

its easier to raise a girl even though they tend to be more materialistic boys are a lil harder not to be generilistic but boys usually are more violent and daring whereas girl are kinder it all depends how u psychologically treat ur child from pregnancy to age 3.

I say neither. Boys are hell to raise when they are young because they get into so much mischief. Girls are hell when they become teenagers because you're afraid for them all the time (and in some cases, afraid OF them). Hey; teenage girls can be terrors to deal with.

i visit't say for a shown actuality that one sex is critically diverse from yet another or not. yet i visit allow you to comprehend that I surely have a 3yr old boy and a 20 month old woman. My son is the laid back variety and my daughter is my little fireplace cracker. She has quite some spirit to flow round. yet she is amazingly loving and being concerned like my son. So in a way they are diverse, yet they have very similar to personalities. i do not discover both a lot less complicated to reinforce then the different. My daughter may be fiesty yet she in basic terms has diverse annoying situations that I surely ought to over come then my son. Like for example, my daughter is amazingly obdurate. She may say no to at least something if she became mad. inspite of if it turned right into a pony laced in icing and cookies. My son isn't obdurate like that, yet even as he receives something in his head he needs to do it. he's amazingly determined. So even as my daughter digs her heels in about issues. My son wont end till we do what he set forth to do. youthful ones are youthful ones in my view. One isn't a lot less complicated then the different. all of them have their united statesand downs that you get to regulate. So even if its a boy or a lady, you may have your palms complete in some element. =)
