I want to train on handguns before going to the police academy and before I purchase a weapon, I want to make sure its an equivalent model. I've looked at 9mm and 40's. I'm conisdering the PX4 Storm.

Most of the cops here in FL use a 9 though some carry a 40. Personally I prefer the Sig midsize 9 don;t now the model number. Theives broke in and stole my gun collection last april so right now I'm down to a Glock 26 which is good for personal protection. My shooting buddy has a sig 9 and man is it sweet. hardly any recoil whatsoever.
