So, my boyfriend and I have been dating for almost a month.
The problem is that Josh does not have much self confidence. He's the sweetest person. He calls when he says he will, treats me nicely, says I'm beautiful, sexy, hot, gorgeous, pretty, etc., and all around makes me happy that I was lucky enough to get him.
I just don't know what to do. He hates his voice (It is a little high, but it has this kind of texture that sounds really cool). I love it. It's so awesome sounding. He also doesn't think he's attractive, which is so far from the truth. I know lots of girls who like him, and he's just...hot. He...I don't know...imagine a really hot guy of about 6 feet with gauges in his ears, and you have Josh. Anyways, he just doesn't believe in his complete hotness. I have told him how handsome he is, and he just doesn't believe me. Argh, I don't know what to do to boost his self confidence the way he boosts mine.

Hello. Listen don't just tell him that he is hot or sexy. SHOW HIM!! What I mean by that is, gather a bunch of pictures of his life and show him how he has grown into a handsome man. Say to him, " That is how you started out and this is how you ended up, a beautiful man." Also tell him that if he is not beautiful to himself, then he can't be happy enough for you.
With his voice, tape record his voice and play it back for him over and over until he realizes that his voice is spectacular. Keep repeating to him phrases that will make him feel better about himself like," Your voice is so beautiful it is like a soothing river. Or whatever you like. You cannot help him with his self esteem....that is why they call it "self" esteem.
And keep in mind, the old saying is "you can never truly love someone else until you love yourself."
Sounds like too much work for a month of dating to me....

Wow... i think this is something he's going to have to come into on his own. i really don't think he'll believe you if all you do is tell him how great he is. Actually, what would help the most is if he got really really good at something, developed a talent and excelled in it. Then he'd be proud of himself and he'd believe people when they say they like him.

Just Keep giving him compliments.Maybe he just have low self esteem & need to hear those good compliments.

Tell him if you think im so beutiful then if you were not hott then i probly wouldnt be with you LOL i dunno ive been in that situation and loved him to death but this dude was always complaining bout himself so i dumped him.

ummm well, idk. tell him that u r soo lucky to have a goodlookin guy,and that if he doesnt realize it, he better wake up. idk, maybe tell him he's hott, and really mean it..... this is a change he has to make, so thats about as much as u can do.
