Why do preachers have expensive cars and all while priest live in general poverty(except for what is provided?

Priests take vow of poverty as do nuns, they receive a cash stipend (for buying needs) A house and food are usually provided, and sometimes the cars belong to the church. Preachers receive a salary may receive more according to the size of the congregation. My husband does not drive a big,flashy,expensive car and we give back to the church almost 1/3 of His salary. Many preachers drive small cars, but I had a friend would after 25 years his people gave him a Cadillac. I also know some that get food stamps because they can't afford to feed their family. Not all preachers have expensive cars. I guess we could ask why some Catholics live in opulent dwellings and have their own country. Have you heard of the Pope and The Vatican? Not too shabby. Some people do not practice what they preach. It's as simple as that.

I don't know about that. The parish where I grew up was pretty affluent; the priests there shared a Mercedes. Not so poor. They didn't look underfed, either. It depends on the parish, as I am sure it depends on the Protestant congregation. Poor communities produce poor priests and ministers.

what else are they going to doing with all that money? The reason prists have less is because, instead of just keeping the money with the single church, it goes to the vatican where its redistributed. They are the most wealthiest single entity in the entire world. They own more land than any one, more gold, and more cash all through out the world than any other business.

Because the preachers are thieves. That money is supposed to help the community and those less fortunate. It's quite disgusting.
