kveldulf- I like that idea, but where do you get your holders?

bushido- no, I am not a priest, I do study ancient religion though, mainly moon worship, I collect swords, knives, and all manner of pointy weaponry. I am not gay, I am engaged to a beautiful woman right now. If you are going to complain about peoples screen names, how about telling us what the meaning of your name is!

And since you asked, if you hide them up your sleeve, strapped to your arm, they are easily accessible. A good reason for carrying knives and knowing how to use them is self defense- if you live in a big city, you never know when you need to protect yourself.Another is entertainment- you never know when you will get a chance to make some money with your skills(even if that isn't a very effective use of time). And bushido, I would appreciate it if you were a little more civilized from now on!

Roger- I hadn't thought of that. My interests in modern history lean toward Germany during the second world war. and before you go off like another guy did when he heard this, I am not saying they were right- far from it- but if nobody studies it, it could happen again.

Personally, I wear one in a shoulder holster, one strapper to each forearm under a long sleeved shirt and one either strapped to each of my lower legs or stuck in my boots under my pant legs. I have also been known to wear one strapped horizontally across my back, at the level of my belt, on occasion.

I have some throwing knives, only cheap, crappy ones, but with a little practice I could embed them in a target blade first 20ft away 80-90% of the time. A throwing knife can kill, even a shuriken, which tend to be lighter, will embed deeply, and cause fatal shock or bleeding if thrown into the torso and they will break a rib if it's in the way. A throwing knife tends to be well balanced, with a heavy blade, even a shallow stab wound is very dangerous and a proper throwing knife will embed down to the handle, if you throw a throwing knife into a person, they will require attention from an ER or a morgue.

10.5" throwing knives like I like to throw are hard to hide on ones person but a MP5 clip holder (the kind you strap on your leg) seems to work nice. Spy's in the UK used to hide small knives in the soles of there shoes with a small cord tied to the hole in the back of the knife in turn that would hang out of the back of the shoe so the knife could be drawn out quickly. I'm sure the same could be done for smaller throwing knives.
