has anyone hear of metallic tattoos? are they safe (tested and ok to use)? Where can I find a place that does it if it is possible? Ideas of tattoos also welcome!!
Thanks!

no, you can make a silver or metallic effect in a tattoo but to actually have a shiny silver tattoo is not possible. the main reason for this is because a tattoo is under your epidermis layer of skin and then the skin grows over it healing the shine would dissapear. Also the shading effects actual effectiveness at looking like metal will vary on your skin tone. The only "safe" tested inks are the regular colours, no fancy irradiated UV thats experimental or anything else, if it worries you about colours stick to black.

there is not a metallic ink. it wouldn't show up metallic under your skin anyway and it seems like it may be dangerous. but if you go to a skilled artist it is possible for them to use clever shading to give a metallic look to the tattoo that you are wanting. i really don't have any tattoo ideas for you since you haven't given any insight into what you like or who you are as a person.

Shiny metallic ink doesn't exist. Usually a good artist can create the illusion of a metal color, but it won't be glossy like real metals.

sorry, i am a tattoo artist and i would be rich if they had those. it can be done with regular ink to look as if there is a reflection but it is an optical illusion and not all artists can pull it off well. search deviantart.com for tattoos to see some examples.

There is no metallic ink. If you go to a good artist they can shade it to give it that effect though.

Never heard of it but if it is safe it sounds great to me! Try a fairy with metal wings, that's what I would do!
