You can get a new on tomorrow, if you can afford it. If ytou are concerned about insurance coverage, most plans I've seen allow replacement after 7 years. You can call your carrier and find this out for your own plan and then you'll know for sure.

All porcelain bridges are very pretty, but can only be used in certain locations and under certain circumstances. Maybe your situtation just didn't lend itself to an all porcelain bridge. I'm a dentist and I'd be pretty leary about using one in my own mouth... They are just not as strong as porcelain and metal bridges. Sometimes esthetics would outweigh longevity, though.

IF YOU WANT YOUR INSURANCE TO COVER A PORTION OF THIS THERE IS PROBABLY A WAITING PERIOD BEFORE THE INSURANCE COVERS IT. CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE TO FIND OUT ABOUT THIS PERIOD.
THERE ARE MORE FAVORABLE BRIDGES THAN FULL PORCELAIN BRIDGES. LIKE THE PREVIOUS DENTIST HAD SAID, THERE ARE CERTAIN INSTANCES WHERE PORCELAIN BRIDGES MAY NOT BE THE IDEAL CHOICE.
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WAIT FOR INSURANCE, YOU CAN GET A NEW BRIDGE TOMORROW. YOUR DENTIST WILL LOVE YOU. LOL.
