my best friend and I got involved and then started dating. He was a little reluctant because his ex cheated and he goes away for extended amounts of time, he is in the service. He has left me in charge off many of his things as well as some of his money matters. He says that he loves me but is not in love with me, and says that I am the most important woman in his life. If we get into a disagreement over the phone he throws in that he dosen't trust me. Should I just give up?

You have such a good thing, and you are trying to ruin it.

Maybe he isn't "in love" with you because he is away so much and has not had enough time with you.
Next time he says he doesn't trust you, ask him " Have I ever done anything for you not to trust me?" If you are faithful, then just give it some time and go easy on him. He may just be having a tougher time than most of us do getting over a bad and untrusting relationship.

He must trust you or he wouldn't leave you in charge of his things. If he loves you but it not in love with you he could be trying to tell you that there is someone else, perhaps he is still in love with his ex. The ex makes it hard for you. I would not give up unless I felt his behavior would never end.

he probably is not in love with you but loves you as his best freind that is entirely possible,if he trusts you with his money and other matters then when you have an arguement its just something to say if he really didnt he would remove his matters, giving up on a relationship that might be considered as dating (absolutely) if you press the matter and care for him as a best freind you will lose him as a freind

It sounds like he only considers you a really close friend. It's also possible that he is just scared of being in a relationship. So just be there for him as much as you can, but don't let your heart get too involved until he makes himself more available emotionally.

Well kind of sounds like there is some trust issues on his part. Try talking to him and telling him how you feel and if you both can not come to a understanding then maybe you should move on.

Good luck to you!

No, just give him time to heal from his last broken heart! Many great relationships start out as just being friends...
