There are sometimes when i start speaking with a girl and then after hours of chatting i don't have what to say and there is a really akward silence what do you say then?

This always works, as soon as it gets quiet and you have nothing to say just wait a little and yell "BOO!" and bust out laughing and saying gotcha b*tch! it gets em every time, the ladies love it. Any random word will work too, use the subject of what you were talking about in the previous conversation. It will make your conversations alot more interesting.

if you have nothing else to say after hours its because you have been talking for hours. My advice, either end the date (its been going on long enough anyway). Say, well we should get going and take her home, or be able to be comfortable in silence. If you arent comfortable in silence, the relationship is probably not going to work out anyway.
Or you could always go for the, "well...this is awkard" line.

Ask her questions about herself. Ask lots and lots of questions, ranging anywhere from pets to childhood, and anything else you can think of. Depending on how in-depth your conversation went, continue to delve even deeper to get to know her better. Often, you'll find that when you ask more questions instead of making statements about yourself all the time, the conversation will flow easier.

Tell her you have run out of things to say and then ask her if she'd like to play a game like Scrabble or Chess.
