The drunk man who instructed me to ask such an inane question has now fallen asleep on the living room rug with the dog. He doesn't seem to be hiccuping anymore so I'll stop wasting your time!

Lay down for a couple of minutes. That will bring your breathing rhythm back to normal and stop the hiccups.

You hiccup when you breathe irregularly and your diaphragm gets irritated or something like that, so just breathe slowly and evenly and drink some milk (weird I know, but it works for me). Also, another weird thing is, if you wait intently for the next hiccup, it doesn't come O_o

Well here is some info. on what hiccups are. Hiccups are muscle spasms of the diaphragm (breathing muscle). So if you relax your chest and breathe calmly then your hiccups will go away.

NOTE: YOU MAY OR MAY NOT FEEL INSTANT RESULT, AND IT MAY TAKE A MINUTE OR SO TO TAKE EFFECT.

It sounds weird, but I swear by it, it works for me every time even though I look stupid doing it:
Drink water upside down. Either bend over or hang over a chair and while your head is upside down aim for the far rim of the glass and drink. This website actually supports this one. :D Hehe good luck!

Get a piece of chocolate and let it dissolve in your mouth (don't chew it) and your hiccups will vanish....this is totally true. Best candy to use are hershey bars
