I think so.
It seems to me like he's trying to bring her up in your conversation.
He might be waiting for you to ask about her so he can get the courage up to tell you he still likes her.
Maybe that's his way of trying to get you to break up with him.
That way he can blame you & say "She left Me!" and not feel guilty about getting together with the other girl right after you dump him.
