Yes, but my son had strep one time and sucked his thumb, got a bath and ended up getting scarletina all over his body. All that is is strep rash on the skin, will go away easily...he gave it to me too. If he sucks his thumb I suggest letting warm water run and sponge off, it itches.

a strep throat is just a common infection. Just like tonsilitis. It's fine for them to have a bath/shower. The infection will not get any better or worse. Be sure that your child is on medication (antibiotics) though, as this will help them recover

I would let them take a shower/bath but I would keep the temperature of the water lukewarm since a fever usually comes with strep. You don't want to raise their body temperature and cause the fever to spike.

Yep! Of course. Just don't use water that is too cold. Since his/her immune system isn't at its best, there is a greater risk for catching a cold on top of the strep. Plus, there's nothing worse than a sick kid who smells!

Of course. Cleanliness can only help them get better quicker.

The doctor will tell you if your child has a condition that would be affected by bathing.

Yeah, being clean won't bother the child's throat. Make sure its a warm one though since the child is sick.
