one of my cats died, so I wnet to the pound to get a new one and ended up with a 7 month old female, at first it seemed okay but now the older cat hates her with a passion and I think its because she is too agressive for the older cat, plus on top of that the new kitty got the old cat sick, its going really bad as the new kitty wants to sleep with us at night but I have to seperate them because of her agreesiveness and that the other one is sick and does not want anything to do with her....Please HELP!!!

First of all, take your poor old cat to the vet.

Give your older cat a room only he is allowed in and shower the older cat with affection, he will eventually come around

When you are showing the new kitten attention and your older cat comes around you at the same time make sure you show your older cat affection. The new kitten is just a kitten and wants to play but the older cat just wants to be lazy so buy some fun toys for the new kitten and she will eventually leave the older cat alone. You have to be consent about what you do your the cats will get confused. Just remember pets are like kids so just like an older sibling doing things to the younger one to get attention so will animals.

your old cat is prolly jealous. spend some time with the old cat. give him some attention. so from the way you wrote the question, i take it your new cat is a girl. well of course she is. but if both of your cats are girls, they may need to just be locked together in a room with no one else but them for a bout 24 hours. that's prolly what needs to be done. if it don't work, feed them at the same time at the same place, and the same with everything else you do, do it to both cats. i also suggest taking the old cat to the vet soon, or he could end up like the cat your kiten replaced.

Just give the cats sometime to get used to each other. I've introduced cats to each other before and they typically don't like each other at first. As far as the aggressiveness I'd just give it time and let the kitty find her place.
I hope your older cat get better and that they get something worked out.
Hope this helps!

You can set a time when you try to teach your kitten not to be so agressive and then when you are hold ong the kitten bring the other one in the room to teach the kitten that the other cat can be more agressive and hurt the other cat.

sometimes you have to let them meet each other slowly .but since there already together.you'll just have to show the older cat 'that you still love him 'even with the kitty 'he;s still top cat.../now that the older one is sick'get her to the vet so she can get well and feel better so he can deal with the kitty more,,till things settle abit more wait till the bigger cat gets well before they go in the bed again..GOOD LUCK TO THE CATS AND YOURSELF,,,,
