i want to get a cool tatoo but not anything typical like a flower or butterfly. i was thinking something with a star but i have no clue. I NEED SUGGESTIONS.

Also, what is a good place to get it at on my body? I am planning on having children so I dont want it to get all stretched out and wierd looking.

Thank YOU!

if you want a star then get a star. it doesn't have to be anything fancy or spectacular. especially for your first tattoo. but just so you know stars are a VERY common tattoo so if you are looking for something unique... that is not the one to get. good luck! you should check out http://www.ratemyink.com and type in star in the search and it will pull up most of the star tattoos so you can see what you like and don't like.

where? your shoulder.

ok, a star... how about a constellation that means something to you? Or a certain number of stars? Is there some personal reason that you want a star? I think the "tramp stamp" (I got one so I can say it) is awesome. If you get them small enough, they can incorporate it into another tat at a later time. Blessings- dd

Look around on differnt sites for tattoo designs. Or go to deviantart.com and look through peoples tattoo designs. I have seen some great ones. Ask permission from them if you can use theres.

Not sure about the star, however, it is your body, do what you like. I personally have 15+ tats and I got them for me and nobody else, so be sure to pick something you enjoy. As far as body parts, on women, I suggest: around the belly button or near (so sexy), lower back, and thats about it. Most other tats on women I find unattractive (like on arms or legs etc...)

a star is just as typical as a flower or butterfly. Find something else those are way over played. Don't get it anywhere near your stomach!!!

well u should get something that your going to like for the rest of your life like i got a star and crescent moon on my ankle because i always have loved outer space. and the best place is probably your ankle or foot or someplace that u can cover up easily like your lower back

a star itself IS nice! the back of your neck... or your wrist... maybe on top of a finger/toe . all those places you can cover with jewelry or hair.
get your birthcolor in it or if you go a bit bigger you can have them draw something inside it like the NYC skyline or a KOI even horoscope sign. you can get creative. please dont get the shooting lines that looks cheep.
you can even get it to look like a bubble. ( no outline pale highlights) they even have ink that glows... but do some research on that first to see if its safe. buy some mags ... i have over 100!
good luck

well first of all REMEMBER that a tattoo is perminate. Get something that represents or resembles you. Or somthing in memorie for a loss or for a loved one. something meaningful
And for placment I would say lower back or shoulder blade but if your a first timer I would sugest somewere with access meat like your arms or butt

i say to wait till you have your children, im guessing you're in your 20s and whatever you think thats cool now, probably won't be that great when you're in your 30s and 40s... i say give it some time, you'll have plenty of time for life changes
