Acidosis would likely cause proteins to be inactive as well, since most enzymes require a strict pH range (to produce the appropriate charges on side chains, for optimal binding in the enzymatic active site) in order to function, and acidosis obviously prevents that -- unless you're talking about a gastric digestive enzyme produced to function at low pH, in which case its activity would not be hindered.
