The father of my nephew is coming to visit next week (he lives out of state). I have never met him, but he was verbally abusive to my sister while they were together and since then he got someone else pregnant and has another child. I honestly don't want to meet him, since I know how much heartache he put my sister through and now my sister doesn't want me to tell my family he is coming. I don't want to be rude, but dont want to meet him! any advice?

If you have an honerable parent that you can trust...ask them if it would be alright to spend the night at a friends house, explain your situation, and make sure they understand..just tell a little fib to this guy and say something urgent has come up..but before you do..talk to your sis about it..she might be able to help..hope this helped you a bit!! Good Luck

I know it's tough but try to stand behind your sister on this one. Be supportive. If he's here to visit your nephew, that's fine but if he's there to visit your sister, you just have to let her do it. I know you want what is best for her but if you butt in, you'll only hurt the relationship with your sister.

well i would stand behind ur sis on this one i know how it feels cause my real dad is like that to my mom,but if he does say anything bad tell ur parents cause theyre the ones that u can trust.but if he says anything rude then tell ur parents that way they can help her out and kick him out or better yet if he gets being a real jerk tell him he cant see his son till he straightens up his ways and quits doing wat he does and when he can talk nicer to her then he can see him but not until then. my mom had to do that to my dad i havent seen him for two years lucky me so maybe that will happen to u so good luck i hope the best happens for u and him and her.

I would say give him a chance dont judge him according to how he treated your sister cause he may treat u totally different. But i would talk to your family about him so u can get more insite as to wat type of person he is.

Sorry to assert, even nevertheless it does sound rather egocentric. He might have rented out his abode and gotten lots extra funds than he did by permitting you to stay lease-unfastened! you're saying which you have God on your marriage yet consistent with probability you will possibly desire to desire for empathy on your marriage to boot. How long could they be imprisoned? What are the prisons like? How will they be taken care of? How do you think of his imprisonment is going to electrify your marriage? that's advisable to verify it yet differently. She is a completely mature female, i could anticipate. consistent with probability she might desire to be a help to you, quite than a undertaking. i don't think of, in 3 mths. that she could anticipate you to wine and dine her. it is an emergency subject. i'm particular that she could be very grateful. consistent with probability she might desire to even raise countless the burden from you by babysitting specifically circumstances or creating countless the food. If she isn't having a confusing being pregnant, she would be able to probable not be mattress-ridden. i would be unable to envision any genuine way which you're able to be able to permit him down difficulty-free. i'm particular he could think of of you daily that he grew to become into suffering in penitentiary. Granted, his habit grew to become into not the final yet he's in a doubtlessly risky subject. component of being a Christian is to have empathy for different individuals. additionally, you will possibly desire to examine the long term result that this could have on your husband's courting together with his brother and finally, you to boot. Did they behave responsibly?
