I have a potential child that the mother is claiming it is not mine. I feel it is since we went thru the ovulation testing and the doctor confirmed she was pregnant last May 2006. My attorney is having a court ordered DNA test of she and the baby, as well as myself. Can she committ fraud or falsify documents or are they carefully screened. I can't seem to get a consistent answer.

yeah, definently get a DNA test, she could be trying to keep you out of the baby's life. She is doing something selfish! every child deserves it's father.

There is always a risk so the answer is probably not. With you going through a court order DNA, they usually pick a place that is acceptable to both of you. If you know the ex knows someone at Hospital X, ask for another location.

There is actually a better chance that the lab will make a mistake. If it comes back not your child ask for an independent examination to be sure.

The better question is why does the mother claim the child is not yours? Could it be that you are not wanting to let go? If that is the answer, maybe a counselor can help sort out the feelings you have.

Good luck, I do hope it works out for you.

If you have an attorney and the courts have ordered a DNA test of her and the baby, she won't be able to falsify those results and your lawyer will be able to get the results. If you are the father and she did not list you on the birth certificate, you can be added once paternity has been established. I hope you get the results you are hoping for. Good luck!

hey, if you are paying for the test, I don't see how...the results are yours and you don't even have to share them...however, the fact is she has allowed the child to be part of this, so is it possible she is telling the truth?
