I think it would be a nice gesture however if she wasn't ready for a relationship it might be best to do something a little more public. She may feel a little too pressured being alone with you and it might scare her off. If you wanted to cook for her maybe invite another couple over and play some games to loosen things up.

like there definetly was strings attached and you have an alterior motive....girls point of view. If you invite her over and make her a nice dinner, it is definetly going to be taken as a date and like you are expecting something more...sorry. Even if you have the best intentions, she will still think you are hitting on her.

I would feel great but it depends if a guy did this one of the first questions to pop up in any girls mind would be "If this guy doesn't like me why is he doing it?" She is going to think you like it so if you want to keep it no strings attached but you want to spend time wit h her or thank her for something think of something that isn't so romantic and suggestive.
