I'm a fan of Savage firearms, but have not tried the Accu-trigger. Good? Bad? Indifferent?

I tried a Savage with the Accutrigger for the first time about 6 months ago.

The Accutrigger takes a little getting used to. I have a rifle in a 300 WSM with the Accutrigger in it.

The trigger is very nice once you get used to it. It breaks very clean and crisp. The biggest obsticle I had with it is the fact there is no slack in the trigger. The "second trigger" is all the slack that is in the trigger and it has no resistance in it unlike a traditional trigger.

After shooting a few groups with it (and having the rifle fire downrange before I meant it to, trying to take the slack out of the trigger), I found it to be the best factory trigger I have seen.

With a little getting used to, I think it is a fine trigger.

GREAT!!! I installed one in my model 112. It is as nice as the fully custom one I made for my Thompson Omega. But remember you need to have a licsensed gunsmith do the work.
