It depends on how you have stored it. If it has maintained a constant refrigerator temperature, the chances are it is still good.
Open the package and smell. You can tell if it has begun to go bad.
If in doubt....just don't risk it!

Yes it is ok to cook. The sell by date is just the regulatory time period the stores have before they are required to discontinue selling an item. It should be good for 2 or 3 days after if it has been refridgerated. If you froze it is is good for about a month or two.

It's good 3 to 5 days after the sell by date as long as it's been stored properly. Usually.

Sell-by dates are just guidelines, not laws. Just because the date is Feb 4 doesn't mean the chicken is going to know that & go bad. :) My policy is if it looks fine & smells fine, then it probably is fine.

I am not really a perfessional cook or anything but I would check it for anything that looks werid or stuff and maybe even smell it. Using you best judgement then try to decide what you think...i probably wouldn't unless it was frozen. The freezer kinda preserves things so i thnik the chicken would be fine if it was frozen!

If you brought it home and put it in the freezer, it should be ok for a long time as long as it doesn't get freezer burn. As far as the sell by date-that is for the stores. If not sold by that date, they will cook it and sell it through the deli department.

It's good for about 3 days. As long as it smells ok and you cook it thoroughly, to 180 degrees, it's fine.

As long as it has been frozen until now. I'm not real sure how long it would be okay...the biggest issue would be frost bite after it has been stored too long in the freezer.
