I am 14 and It seems like if I were to go on a date now I would feel very uncomftorable and I wouldn't know how to talk to that person. Will I ever feel better about this and go on a good date and feel comftorable?

When you are old enought to start dating you will know what to talk about and how to act. Enjoy being a teenager, don't rush life!

Don't date until you're comfortable. Why put yourself in an uncomfortable situation for nothing.
If it's not dating that's making you uncomfortable, but the person, it's probably just nerves. Everyone gets nervous the first time they go out with someone new. Just be yourself, and eventually the nerves will go away, and you'll be having a good time together.
If the guy's making you uncomfortable, stop seeing him. You'll find someone you want to spend time with and not someone youfeel you have to.

Of course you will. You're only 14. As you get older, you'll gain more confidence and become more comfortable with who you are. You have plenty of time to date. Just remember, when you do start dating, there will be good dates and bad dates, but you need to go through them all to find the right guy. Hang in there!

You still have plenty of time honey. Dating will become much easier over the years as you develop maturity and self-esteem. Just practice talking to people, friends, teachers, and get used to interacting with people in general.
Don't worry, I went from a painfully shy 14-yr-old with glasses, braces, and huge hair to sexy, confident, self-respecting, late-20s dating diva.

Dont date until those feelings are gone...if they never go away maybe you just arent made for dating, but I am sure as you get older you will change that...it might take a while though, some are late bloomers in that regard...sure is better than being like the rest of the skanks though right?

It will get better after a couple dates. When i first starting going out with my bf, I was so uncomfortable and shy, after a few dates i started opening up and enjoying the relationship.

yes of course you will when i was 14, i didnt even care about boys, and i was shy if i liked one,,, 14 is still really young to date.... i started dating when i was 16,and i felt more confident, for practice, take a friend who is a girl out and go some where and tell her to bring a guy friend...n then talk to him and youll need to talk to a bunch of diffrent guys to know how they r so u can be prepared for a date.

You are still very young and in time, you will mature and so will the guys your age. You will find boys you have something in common with to date and talking will be easier.
