A week to 10 days. Get a big box of Kleenex, keep warm, eat chicken soup. Taking over the counter med's can tone down the symptoms, but it's a cold, and there is no cure for the cold. Ride it out. Getting plenty of rest will help. Hot foods help make sinuses drain, as will good hot showers and baths. These things can make the symptoms a lot better. Tylenol Sinus actually works quite well without drying you out and good old Nyquil works well to allow you to get some sleep at night. Hang in there.

They say it takes 1 to 2 weeks, but I swear I had one for over 2 months once. Sometimes you can shake them, and somtimes you can't.

Feed yourself properly with high protein food (e.g chicken soup), eat some vegetables and fruit which high in vit. C (e.g. orange, kiwi).
U'll be heal in no time!
