How can i cut music on a mac garage band program?

I know that you can edit music on there, but i wasn't sure what to do. i dragged the song a wanted from iTunes onto Garage band and want to cut of the begining so it will fit a certain time frame. thanks.

Put the red line over where you want to cut your song. Then go to edit and split or on the keyboard apple+T then delete the part you want to delete for more info go to apple's support page and type in what you need. Their support page is really easy to move around!
