I was seeing this guy, he did all the initiating. We went on a couple dates (all good), 3rd date we kissed (really good). He left on vacation to China, came back and is really distant. Last time we went out he said "your fun, and I like you, let's just see how this goes". Since then, not a lot of contact. His friends say he likes me but he doesn't want to get hurt, because supposedly he got hurt by a girl 2 years ago.... Should I just leave him alone and let him figure out what he wants or should I call/text him to occasionaly say hi...

"If you try, then you might lose. If you don't try, then you've already lost."

Try to contact him. You don't have to be annoying about it, but you should at least try something. You don't come off as being the type of person who would pester him relentlessly, anyway. And you sound like you might be able to talk with him in a manner that he would find reassuring and with a measure of understanding. This is the type of girl it seems he could use, and he seems like he wants to be with you and be good to you as well. So contact him and talk with him.

You should call, this could go somewhere. You need to tell him what's going on, what you're feeling. Ask about China, see how it was. If it's been three weeks since you've talked, you need to call him and ask him what's wrong. If you think this could go somewhere, you need to help it along.

If he doesn't call you after you call him within 3 days, then it's time to move on.

I think you should leave him be. If you chase him down for answers you'll either turn him off or scare him off. It might be nice to give him a quick friendly call to say "Hi" and mention that you enjoyed going out with him. Just see how he's doing - no pressure!
