I have been friends with this (really hot) gay guy for the past year, but lately I am starting to think he may not be gay, because, although he says he is only attracted to guys, he has been acting funny around me lately. For example, me and him were sitting on the couch together watching a movie in his apartment when he just starting kissing me all of the sudden, and I was like "what are you doing !!!" and he just said oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ?! He also keeps making weird comments to me, like "if I weren't gay, I would do you in a minute" ?! He is a really sweet guy but, he is starting to really freak me out.
Questions:
1. Is he really gay ?
2. Are gay guys attracted to women ?
3. Why is he being weird ?
Other Details:
-I am 21(he is 22)
-We both go to college together
-I asked him if he was really gay and he said he is...so I am confused
-I am straight and he is gay

Many if not most gay guys can be very attracted to women. In other words, they are often bi. It's likely that many people COULD respond in some way to members of their sex but are horrified at the thought. So, yes, if he says he's gay, he's most probably gay. Yes, gays can be attracted to women. He's not being weird he's doing what bi guys who are impulsive often do. A friend of mine from years ago was very gay and married a woman who was straight. He couldn't stay straight and the marriage ended unfortunately. Be aware if you get involved that it will be extremely unusual for him to be faithful to you. And with HIV lurking about, if he's not VERY careful, you could be exposed to things you don't want to be exposed to.

Well he could be bi (like chicks too) that would explain everything. Maybe he doesn't know himself and he wants to know or find out if he really is gay buy kissing or whatever with you. The weird ness is probably that he doesn't know what he wants. Just have a real talk with him and ask him all these questions.

Homosexuality or not, I've always thought that gay just means that you happen to fall in love with a guy. Your friend might have liked guys all his life and never found a girl he liked, so concluded that he is gay. But maybe now, he likes you and just doesn't know how to express it and is just playing it off. Talk to him and if you he really likes you then you can respond to that, or IF all his actions are just jokes, then tell him you feel uncomfortable with his actions.

Sounds like he's conflicted - or what some people call "bi-sexual" or "bi-curious."
Being that he's already decided he's "gay," he won't give himself permission to pursue the possibility that he may actually be attracted to you. That would be a "betrayal" in his own mind of his "gay" identity.
You should stop asking him if he's "gay" and start asking him if he's "attached."

Well, he could be bi, or just confused or something... but I know this guy who said he was gay, but when a girl showed interest in him, he told her he was straight... you have to watch out for some people..

Ok, maybe he told you he was gay when you first met him because he just wanted to be friends, and may not be gay after all. Have you ever met his boyfriend, or heard of him dating other guys? If so, why did you let him kiss you- do you have any idea of the things that coulda been in his mouth, and where those things were before they were in his mouth. how gross!!

Although at that age, he could be confused of his sexuality. At times, though they are actually bisexual, they tried to hide that preference for the opposite sex to potray a gay image. i suspect he gets turned on by you but due to whatever reason, he decided not to go on with it. Talk to himand you maight just know him better than wondering what's not!

he obviously is attracted to you or else he wouldnt kiss you since hes already out and stuff. maybe he is confused and is willing to experiment to figure out his feelings. if you decide to, just be warned he's already declared he's gay, most likely he is. proceed with caution so you dont get emotionally hurt.
