Psalm 23 is a great place to start.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the
paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death; I will fear no evil: for thou
art with me; thy rod and thy staff they
comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the
presence of mine enemies: thou anointest
my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all
the days of my life; and I will dwell in the
house of the Lord for ever.

LOL. i'm surely studying the bible in the present day and earlier i continuously concept it should be a humdrum old e book. yet to be complication-free, with all the gore and sex and violence, plus the miracles, it reads to me in basic terms about like a Steven King e book. I surely have informed both Jehovah's Witnesses whom i do the bible study this and they agreed with me to the volume that they admitted the bible is gory, brutal and bloody, yet as well noted that among all this there are a kind of added good and inspriring factors to it. oh, and that i allow my 11 three hundred and sixty 5 days old examine it. the right version, not the kiddie one, and they prefer it because that's not boring like they concept it should be. i do not see the point of hiding the actuality type them, what good may it do to attempt to lie to them with the 1/2-thoughts the children bibles have? i do not imagine you should study this to letting a baby watch porn. they get in basic terms as a lot and extra information in sex practise in college and from the birds and bees communicate at abode.

How about the 23 psalms and the beatitudes. Those are beautiful. Just read from the bible and she will love it even if she is not speaking. Your thoughtfullness will be so apprecaited.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with Thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Pray about it first. Ask family members what passages grandma enjoyed in the past. the 23rd psalm comes to mind. But sometimes when you read it to someone who is suffering they tell you to stop. Be sensitive.

revalations i guess would be a good book because of paul's (i think it was him...or maybe john?) whole heaven theme. and one verse, well part of a verse that i found helpful was 7:17. "and he will then wipe away all the tears" (not exact words sry, haven't memorized it yet) you should also refer to the help topics section in your bible and seek help form a rev. or a pastor, or someone that's spiritually older. and i think its wonderful that you're trying to help your grandmother but try not to push it too much or she might just turn away =) hope this helps you
