I just found out my friend just lost her viriginity like 1 hr ago!! Why do ppl say they r gonna wait until marriage then not? Plz help me understand this!

There are a lot of different reasons for it... Sometimes peer pressure and hormones. People want to fit in and do what others are doing so they do it because they think it will make people like them (it might make guys like them, but only for the occasional booty call). Some other girls do it because they have this empty feeling inside of them from lack of self-esteem and when a guy says that they are pretty or that he loves them, then they fall for it. Then some just don't see what the big deal is about sex and want to either try it for themselves or just get the whole thing over with just to say they lost their virginity. It's not worth it though. Just because your friend did it, don't follow in her footsteps. Wait until you know for sure that you are ready.

Hi Princess, The pressure of being a teen again. A lot of teens do it because everyone else is having sex. Of course,there is getting turn on to a point you cannot help yourself. Some even do it on a dare. What ever the cause,they will do it anyway. That's how things are,and have be for many,many years. A Friend.

Don't blame it on the hormones. Hormones may be running out of control. But what it boils down to is simply immature behavior on the part of the teenager. There mental inability to control their urges.
All kids think about is sex, drinking, getting everything they can get from whomever for nothing, and playing constantly. That's what kids do these days.
What a sad future has in store for this generation.

Why wait til marriage?? i dont see the point!! Sex is put on a pedestal, n most peeps say thier first time was terrible anyway!! if you love someone, then you should find other ways to show it rather than just to sleep with them. Sex is just sex. nothing so special, really, if you think about it. so why not sleep with somepne before marriage? why does sex have to be so important??
Teens dont tend to wait because they get pressured into it tho, or they just want to!!

Marriage is something we devised, and not part of our physical genetics - so when we get urges, they don't care what society's rules are.
When you hit adolescence you're hardwired to /want/ sex, since you're able to reproduce and that's what the body wants to do. People get horny, which isn't a comfortable feeling; and to make it go away, you do something that makes you feel /very/ comfortable. It feels good, and it makes the urge go away. People also think it's cool, and they're itching to just try it out; since society makes a big deal about how cool and how awesome it is. Sometimes they're pressured into doing it.
An orgasm triggers the same spots in your brain as a dose of heroin, so sex is actually addictive and really enjoyable to a person.

Well, I do not condone teen sex . . . but here is food for thought . . . way back in the 1500s teens were married pretty young and a girl was considered an old maid if not married with children before they were 20

Well i can answer that its because of there hromones and maybe they're pressured or cuz they're friends doin it so they dont want to b called a lame but guess what i'm the only one out my friends that didnt have sex yet cuz its my LIFE NOT THERE'S KNOW DAT make that right choice.......

Nowadays people who you think are your friends just try and push you to do things or if you havent done something before they make fun of you and make you feel like your retarted becaus eyou havent had sex or any thing like that...
also for aot of girls they think they have fallen in love and want to pleasure their boyfriends because either he sweet talked you with a whole bunch a B.S or he said that if she eally loved him she would do this for him...
But alot of it also has to do with hormomes like every body said....I cant explain It...

because sex is rarely associated with love anymore! and even if someone does associate it with love, maybe they feel like there is no point in waiting because they arent likely to meet someone else who is. My boyfriend has had sex with every girl he's dated even though he wasnt in love with them. He says they were still special, but I guess sex simply just isnt the special bond anymore that should be.

When sexual desires get the better of you, losing your virginity is just like losing a dollar to some people. Fret not, as long as you don't follow her footsteps, you'll be fine. Curiosity is another factor.
