I have downloaded Firefox 2.0.1 to my desktop (from the Mozilla website), and when I try and open it, it flashed up as a ms-dos application window with a blank black background, and then shuts immediatly. I tried re-downloading it, but with no luck. The icon doesn't look like a instalation icon, it looks like a basic application file. How do I install it?

What OS are you running?

Do you know how to do a checksum on downloads? (I'm sure you could Google instructions)

What are you using to download?

Have you checked your computer for viruses and spyware?

Could your firewall be messing up the download?
