I asked a similar question before and didn't get any better answers than you are getting so far. The Christians quote scripture and claim that their god is the one true god, but don't actually attempt to answer your hypothetical question. Sigh. It is ever thus, blind faith and no imagination. Only atheists honestly answer these speculative questions, and then get thumbs down anyway.
I think a god would have to look more favourably on the non-believer than on someone who chooses to worship the wrong god completely. Especially bible-god, who is after all a self-declared "jealous god" (Numerous OT references....please don't make me list them)
At least we are being honest and rational about it. He'd have to give us some credit for the skeptical point of view, don' you think?

Everyone has their own beliefs about God and religion. If you believe in God then you are acting a certain way (not saying in any way that if you dont believe in God you arent like that).
Normally people that believe in some sort of God they are following "Gods rules" like being nice, non judge mental, dong good deeds, ect. I think that if you act like that it really doesnt matter what God (or other belief you have) you worship because you are a good person. Who is to say what God is right anyways? No one will know until we are gone.

to know that your belief is in the wrong God is to say that your problem is virtully solved. not believing in a wrong god and not also believing in the true God does no help your status with the true God as there is no ignorance before the law.

This is a hard question but I have said that it's better to believe in something than believe in nothing at all. Of course, I wouldn't want to promote believing in false gods but a person appears to be more grounded, apparently, than they where if they don't believe in anything. I would definetely say... keep your mind open to believing that there is a god instead of believing in pure science or logic.

There is no "wrong God". If you want to believe in Imaginacius go right ahead. People care too much in what others think of their beliefs.
If you don't want to believe in any God, who gives a crap, it's entirely up to you.

Well, no. but if you did not believe in anything but did good things to others, God will accept you in Heaven. Remeber that it is not a sin if you dont know it is a sin, but when you know what the Word says about what is wrong and what is right, and you still do the wrong things, you are indeed sinning. Hope it makes sense...

In most cases, yes. Most god based religions teach basic principles of goodness. While not all religions have the power unto salvation, that only comes through Jesus Christ, they do teach good things.
It is the truly godless that cause havoc in the world. Those who have forsaken God either because they do not believe in God or because they have a horribly skewed view of who God is. They are the ones that frighten me because they either:
A) Have no moral values and therefore have no fear of eternal consequences to their actions
or
B) Have skewed moral values and have believe that God will bless them for declaring war on their brothers and sisters.

it surely relies upon on what you've faith in. incorrect or acceptable does not count. you mustn't in any respect be apologetic about about your conception. you'd be apologetic about if someone misled you right into a incorrect determination. yet when you're making a call after putting a number of your concept into it, have some backbone and settle for the end result. it should be quite quite incorrect to apply faith as an coverage coverage. I wager if it quite is largely your objective, St. Peter will kick you out of the Pearly Gates besides. that is worse? you comprehend you'll fall unwell and also you do not purchase medical coverage, or you comprehend you received't win and also you nevertheless spend on lottery.
