Instead of leaving her alone, make her feel comfortable by giving her hopes for another search and watch her responses carefully!
She seems to be sensitive...
if u think theres hope then tell her not to miss it, many don't be happy with their second Love.

Long distance relationships are a TON of hard work. If the guy is telling her it won't work, she might want to think about why he's saying it. Does HE want to make the effort at the relationship? Does he or she need to have close companionship to feel like there is really a relationship? Do either of them have trust issues - because you can't very well see what the other person is doing - if so, then there will be a lot of difficulties in maintaining a relationship.
Granted some LDR do work - my best friend lived in TN and her now husband lived in NY and they got married two years later. Another one of my friend's parents have a long distance marriage - she works in one city in TN and he in another, and they have been married nearly 30 yrs and it works for them.
There's nothing wrong with trying, but she needs to take a realistic look at what she wants to get into. If they aren't going to put everything they have into it plus some, it won't work.

What does the guy think? Does he say that it probably won't work? I met a guy online that lived in Georgia and I lived in Florida. We dated for 2 years before we were able to live together and now we're married. Don't tell her that there isn't hope. It just depends on how much she likes him and what she's willing to sacrafice. Long distance relationships are difficult at first but they can work out in the end :)

LDRs (long-distance relationships) have a poor track record for success. The feelings are there, but the experiences in different places changes you. You adjust to the absence and not necessarily with another person. You just see life in another perspective.

The only thing she can do is try, it's possible that it will work out, But if it doesn't hopefully she does not have the kind of friends and family that say "I told you so". I hate those kinds of people.

she should face the trueth and realize that there is simply too much distance between her and the guy in question. She should start dating guys in her area to distract her from romeo in Penn.

If she wanted to make it work it could but the posibilities are it won't work! But if they want it to work and give it thought then it possibly could work!
