Where can I find a history of the black church?

Black churches started because black people weren't allowed in white churches. Back in the good ol'e days of seperate but equal. Thankfully Brown v. The Board of Education changed all that but for some reason people still want to segregate themselves.

That is the history of the black church.

Oxford Brookes, the former Westminster College Oxford may be able to help you. I know they had a modul on Black Christianity.
