Perhaps your Chihuahua has had a bad experiance with taking a bath. Try to praise him or her while giving a bath and see if that helps. Then give a treat afterward.

Most chihuahuas hate water and only like to drink it. My friends dog that is that kind of dog hates the water and will not go near it. SO most likely thoses kinds of dogs hate water.

I dont know about all chihuahuas but my chi loves playing in the water outside, in puddles, you name it but when it comes to getting a bath forget it!!

yep. well actually i dont know about "all" of them at all, but i have never personally heard of one liking water, and mine definitely doesn't. if it has to do with bathing, obviously make sure water doesn't get in its ears. but, why do you ask?
