NO, NO, NO - you will be sick as a dog if you eat this!! If you have already started defrosting then you have 2 options. You can either place in fridge & cook the next day or go ahead & cook, then freeze the cooked meat for later use........

Categorically NO!!! not unless you want food poisoning. The best way to go is to cook it and then freeze it. Never ever refreeze partially defrosted chicken.

From the question, Yes you can without worrying about getting food poisoning. People are little crazy about Chicken and Pork. If you asked if it is okay to refreeze a thawed chicken in an 108 degree environment that is been out in the sun for three hours exposed to the environment I would have a different answer.

Just remember to wash your chicken really well and defrost it correctly, under cold running water or refrigerator.

If you are uncomfortable of eating it, throw it out. "When in doubt, throw it out."

Absolutely not.

By allowing the food to partially thaw (or even completely), you are basically giving bacteria the perfect breeding ground for disaster.

If the chicken is thawed and you for whatever reason don't need it at the time you thought you did, simply cook the chicken and then refrigerate it and reheat it when you need it.

This not only applies to chicken, but to any raw meat, be it beef, pork or fish.
