Have something in between. I have a short bob cut up at the back, slightly longer at the front but it is short with layers. Get the hairdresser to take the bulk of hair out of the sides, that way, you can put your hair behind your ears and you have a short look - pull it down and style it and you have a feminine bob - it;s the best hairstyle I have ever had (a bit like Jade Goodys hair style but not quite as short at the back)- I have been from short and spikey to long and flowing!

If you have thick hair short and spikey, otherwise bob but maybe with a fringe?

well, id say long, so a bob it has to be.
You can always go short & spikey if you don't like the bob, but you can't do it the other way round!
